Mentor and course author Stratoplan Management School
— till now

I joined as a trainer and program author, designing and delivering training modules specifically for IT executives, CTOs, and team leads. In this role, I developed comprehensive programs that included both theoretical and practical modules. Key aspects of these programs included:

  • Interactive Learning: Developed engaging, interactive practices that encouraged active participation.
  • Case Study Analysis: Incorporated real-world case studies to provide practical insights into technical product management and engineering team leadership.
  • Tailored Content: Designed curriculum modules that addressed the unique challenges and opportunities faced by senior IT professionals, ensuring the content was both relevant and immediately applicable.

This experience allowed me to blend theoretical frameworks with practical applications, equipping IT leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive technical excellence and foster effective team management.

In addition, launched a dedicated course - Technical Product Management.

Co author and mentor of the course " project management in it" Yandex Practicum

During my tenure as a Mentor on the “IT Project Manager” course, I successfully guided and graduated over 500 students. My role was centered on helping students transition into the IT field by sharing my practical industry experience, particularly for those coming from related fields with little or no background in IT or management.

Comprehensive Support

  • Assisted students in adapting to a new professional landscape.
  • Offered practical insights and real-world experience in IT to complement the standard curriculum.
  • Provided extensive supplementary resources beyond the standard course content. All the content is available for the students here: yap.belyaev.live.
  • Conducted multiple marketing webinars and free courses on behalf of the School.

Curriculum Enhancements

  • Integrated a dedicated module on product development tailored for the students.
  • Expanded the standard course with detailed insights and practical knowledge on using the p3.express project management system.
  • Developed a comprehensive module on the Project Chapter, including hands-on exercises.
  • Introduced and explained essential analytical tools for IT managers to facilitate better decision-making.

These enhancements and my proactive approach to mentoring were recognized, resulting in my acknowledgment as one of the best mentors on the course. This recognition reflects my commitment to not only delivering high-quality education but also to ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future roles in IT project management.

Course " project management in it" Ural Federal University

I designed and taught an advanced course for fourth-year Computer Science students, delivered entirely in English. The course was structured to balance theoretical instruction and hands-on project work, consisting of:

  • Lecture Component: 36 academic hours of lecture material covering key topics in computer science.
  • Project Component: An additional 36 academic hours devoted to project-based activities, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts in practical scenarios.

Over the duration of the program, I successfully guided and mentored three cohorts of students, fostering a dynamic learning environment that emphasized critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork. This comprehensive approach not only reinforced the students’ understanding of core computer science principles but also prepared them for real-world challenges in the technology field.

Engineers development Tochka

I was responsible for developing and growing IT people in the whole organization. That included designing onboarding and continuous development processes, helping team leaders develop learning paths for their direct reports, and promoting learning and development.

During my time there, I designed and launched a few internal courses and programs:

  • Engineers Bootcamp - an accelerated course for every new hire to get them up to speed with the required information, technologies, tools, and processes to be successful as an Engineer. The program also promoted and refined processes on the engineering teams, bringing them fresh knowledge and practices used in the company.
  • Team leads growth - the program was designed to set up the team lead role in the company. It was a response to the company changing from business-led to engineers-led teams. The program lasted nine months and included practice, theory, and coaching to support the team leads in their new role.
  • Skills assesment system - not a course, but system that was desigened to motivate engineers to learn and define a personal development plan. One of my colleagues wrote an article about the system implementation. You can check it out here.
